THE TATVIQ APPROACH
Evidence before
opinion.
A structured way to read an IPO prospectus, understand its trade-offs and trace the research back to the filing.
TATVIQ is built around one principle: an investment interpretation should remain connected to the information that supports it. This page explains how the research is produced and how to read its limitations.
The methodology research document develops this method in detail, including the evidence-selection approach, scorecard and evaluation protocol.
Start with the prospectus.
The analysis begins with the DRHP, RHP or prospectus PDF you provide. TATVIQ identifies the business, financial information, promoters, offer structure, use of proceeds, valuation disclosures, governance and material risks.
Readable PDF text retains page references. Chapter detection and financial extraction can be incomplete, particularly in complex tables or unusual layouts. The resulting report should always be checked against the filing.
Find the relevant passages.
TATVIQ searches across the extracted document for passages relevant to its research questions. It brings selected evidence into a structured analysis, rather than relying only on the beginning of each chapter.
Selection is a focused review, not an exhaustive reading of every disclosure. When the reviewed evidence does not establish a fact, the report should say so. Failure to find information does not establish that the company omitted it.
Make quotations traceable.
Quoted evidence is compared with the cited source passage or page. The report distinguishes a source match from an unsupported, incomplete or missing quotation.
A matched quotation establishes where the words came from. It does not independently validate the surrounding interpretation or the investment conclusion. Source warnings remain part of the reader’s assessment.
A consistent scorecard.
Six categories shape the final verdict. Business quality and financial strength receive the greatest weight, alongside governance, industry position, IPO structure and valuation. Material risk flags can limit a positive rating.
- Business quality
- 22%
- Financial strength
- 22%
- Governance
- 18%
- Industry position
- 14%
- IPO structure
- 12%
- Valuation
- 12%
The scorecard is a decision framework. Its scores still depend on the quality of the extracted evidence and the model’s interpretation; the verdict is not a forecast of returns.
Read confidence carefully.
Evidence confidence reflects coverage, extraction quality and source matching. It can be low when information is missing, conflicting or unsupported. It is not a probability that the analysis is correct or that the IPO will perform well.
TATVIQ supports research; it does not replace a complete reading of the prospectus or advice from a qualified professional. Independent evaluation of financial accuracy and model consistency remains necessary.
